Kind Words from a Friend and Fellow Lawyer, Tom Spiggle, On Starting My New Firm

I have known Clay for (gulp) almost 25 years. We started together at Tharrington Smith, bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Since then we’ve worked on a number of cases together. I often call on Clay when I need North Carolina counsel.

Clay knows both the law, and, perhaps more important, people. He can read a room like no other.

Clay is also a fantastic writer, which makes me hate him just a little bit because I can’t match him. Be on the lookout for his forthcoming work of fiction.

Though I still get some solace when he tells the story of his first foray into legal writing. You should ask him about it.

In any event, this is fantastic news. If you’ve got a litigation matter in North Carolina, you’d be lucky to have Clay on your side.
